Last school year, the Peace Jam students picked up garbage outside of the school as part of a community service project.  While deciding on their project for this year, a student recalled back to the garbage pick up and noticed that there were no garbage cans outside of the school.  So, they decided to raise funds to put garbage cans outside of the school.  After speaking with the grant coordinator, Mrs. Kent, the Peace Jam Coordinator, was excited to share with students that there was grant money available to purchase the garbage cans.  Mrs. Kent asked art teacher and art club coordinator, Mrs. Yingst, to help decorate the garbage cans.  They met on February 14th and painted the cans.  Check out what an amazing job these groups did!
